On April 17, 10 editors of The Campanil drove to San Simeon for the California College Media Association‘s (CCMA) annual college journalism contest and a tour around Hearst Castle designed by the late female architect Julia Morgan, who had also designed the El Campanile tower at Mills College.
The Campanil won several awards in Division C, designated for newspapers that publish less than weekly, and brought home 2nd Place for General Site Excellence in the statewide competition. A complete list of award winners here.
