In a technologically advanced world, staying connected with friends and family is often on the minds of college students, and social networking sites are one of the easiest ways to do so. MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, and dozens of other social networking sites have grown in popularity since their inception in the late 1990s.

Mills hosts annual fundraiser and community swims for breast cancer awareness

Swim-A-Mile is an annual fundraising event in conjunction with the Women's Cancer Resource Center hosted at Mills. On Oct. 4 and 5, an estimated 500 people participated at the event at Mills' Trefethen Aquatic Center, where entrants had the opportunity to swim or water-walk one (36 laps), full mile.
