How To | Crochet an e-reader cozy

glopez31

It’s February, and you know what that means — procrastinating   midterms. While studying, some students use e-readers such as a Kindle so they can read texts required for their classes, highlight passages, share notes, enlarge text, etc. Like other e-readers, you could potentially carry your entire library on your Kindle, and it would still weigh less than most paperbacks. However, like most e-readers, Kindles are sensitive to any rough-handling. They can scratch if you are not careful, or even worse — crack! So while you’re procrastinating, why not crochet a cozy to protect this beautiful, modern invention?

Skill level: Beginner-Intermediate

 Materials needed:

  •  1 ball/ skein of yarn, no smaller than the  amount pictured

Step 18: Fold it in half (hamburger-wise). Use the extra yarn to “sew” three sides together (use the slipstitch).

And voila! You have made yourself a wonderful e-reader cozy! Good luck on those dreaded midterms, and look forward to another crochet tutorial in the near future!
