With spring not quite in the air (but certainly in our hearts), we’re very excited to see what the month of March has in store for us. Below, is a simple and easy refreshment that’ll satisfy your quench of thirst during that long week of midterms!

INGREDIENTS
2 cups red grapefruit juice (freshly squeezed)
2 cups lemon juice
2½ cups sugar
5 cups water
1 cup blackberries
Lots of ice
DIRECTIONS
Yields 10
• Prepare an ice bath. Mix in blackberry, sugar, and 5 cups water in a medium saucepan. Stir well, and set over medium-high heat.
• Bring to a boil, and cook, stirring occasionally, until all of the sugar has dissolved, about 10 minutes.
• Pour the blackberry syrup into a medium bowl, and set bowl in the ice bath to cool; the syrup should yield 2½ cups.
• When ready to serve the beverage, combine the lemon juice, grapefruit juice, and the sugar syrup into a medium pitcher or individual jars. Add the lemon rounds, and fill with ice cubes.
