Tayla Muise, Soccer

Junior keeper, Tayla Muise had the best game of her season against Soka University. Muise played all ninety minutes in goal and finished the game with 22 saves, allowing only four goals. Despite a relentless offensive attack, Soka was held scoreless for the first part of the first half until scoring on a direct free kick. Muise was tested early, making three saves in the first five minutes of play and persisted throughout the contest to hold Soka to four goals. The following day, Muise was back in goal against Bethesda, where she added three more saves in 45 minutes of play.

Ashley Crespin, Soccer

Cyclone of the Week honors go to soccer player, Ashley Crespin. A transfer student from City College of San Francisco, she has made an immediate impact on the Mills soccer team. Crespin has started every game for the Cyclones and has played almost every minute. In Friday’s game against Bethesda her determination and hard work paid off as she scored her first goal of the season. She led the team with five shots, four in goal — the highest of any Mills player this season.
