Dedication and experience have earned first-year Casey Henggeler Cyclone of the Week honors. In last weekend’s swim meet at UC Santa Cruz, Henggeler continued her noteworthy rookie swimming season, posting a lifetime best and three Mills top ten swims. In the 100 yard backstroke, she swam a season best time, which placed her third on the Mills top ten list, while her 100 yard fly moved her to fifth on the top ten list. Highlighting her versatility as a swimmer, she contributed to the 400 yard free relay, swimming an impressive 100 yard freestyle and demonstrating her ability to swim her way onto another top ten list. Capping off her stellar performance, Henggeler bested her personal record in the 200 yard back by five seconds, and moved to third on her third top ten list of the meet.

More notable than her swim times is her dedication and work ethic. She commutes to Mills at least six days a week for school and practice, working tirelessly without fail. No matter the circumstances, Henggeler constantly pushes herself, a trait which is paramount to her success.

We look forward to her continued success this season!
