Mansourian wrestles UC system

When Arezou Mansourian was little, she wasn't interested in Barbie dolls or tea parties. Instead, she wanted to fight with her brother or play with his Legos. And when middle school rolled around, she found two weeks of wrestling in her P.E. class much more fun than the line dancing classes.

Cyclone of the Week

The Mills College Tennis Team enjoyed yet another win against Diablo Valley College Feb. 23 thanks to freshwoman Lisa Kelly, this week's Cyclone of the Week. She won the pivotal singles match in a two and a half hour battle and then came back with Jen Johnson to win the doubles match, which clinched the win for Mills.

A night of wheels

Quick! Name a sport where the athletes compete on wheels to see who's the fastest, strongest, and sharpest. You might be tempted to think of cycling, but you would be wrong. On Feb. 9, thanks to the efforts of Mills alumna Kathryn Black, Mills students received an introduction to one of the fastest, and fastest-growing, sports nationwide-wheelchair basketball.

The new buzz on caffeine products

Caffeine is now a lifestyle. No longer restricted to tea, coffee, soda and energy drinks, today's youth can get their fix through the skin and debate the experience online. Internet organizations and youth specialty shops aid buzz-happy college students in finding alternative caffeine products and offering advice for members of the caffeine counterculture movement.

Cyclone of the Week

Thanks to Maggie Rust, this week's Cyclone of the Week, the Mills Tennis Team is undefeated. A sophomore in her first year on the tennis team, Maggie was instrumental in the team's season opening victory at Dominican University. Maggie and Claudia Bugarin won their doubles match, and Maggie's #3 singles match was the last match on, with the two teams knotted at 4 matches a piece.
