A double major in international relations and math, Isidora “Dora” Jimenez has been playing volleyball since high school. Throughout her life, she has played a multitude of sports — basketball, club and team volleyball, track and soccer. But upon graduation in May, her competitive sports career will end, at least for now.

The collaborative aspect of volleyball is what drew Jimenez to the sport.

“It’s a team sport,” she said. “More people get something out of it.”

According to Jimenez, she will never forget the moment when a new player was asked what she wanted to get out of the season. The new player responded she wanted to be like her.

Jimenez said she is sad to leave the team because previous coach Daniel Rasay now coaches volleyball Menlo College. She wanted a chance to compete against his new team.
