Volleyball update

Mills College Weekly

The volleyball team played one of their best games of the season last Tuesday, earning a hard-fought victory over San Jose
Christian College. They won with scores: 27-30, 30-28, 30-19, 30-28.


The Cyclones used strong team defense and solid passing, winning the next three games
despite the first game loss. Sophomore Amy Decoux led the team with 18 kills, 14 digs and five blocks, while fellow sophomore
Megan Miller handed out 26 assists and had 10 digs. Junior Holly Smith added 7 kills, including several in a row during the fourth game.
Sophomore Allison Cockerham had a remarkable 100 percent serve efficiency on 24 serves. Junior Leanne Olsgaard had 15 digs while freshwoman
Dominique Fitzgibbon served five aces. It was an outstanding win for the team.
