A six year old girl was shot in her sleep on Seminary Ave. on Sept 28, according to a press release from the Oakland Police Department this evening.
The girl has survived her injuries, but the case is still unsolved.
“This was an act of senseless violence perpetrated against an innocent child,” the press release said.
The Oakland Police Department is asking for help from the community in this case. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact the Criminal Investigation Division, Sgt. P. Gonzales, at 510-238-3328.
The press release also adds that the Oakland Police will not ask anyone with information regarding this crime questions about their residency status.
