Mills swimming pool is hiring

The Trefethen Aquatic Center (TAC) at Mills College is hiring!  Come gain valuable skills you will use for life, enhance the lives of other people and get paid to do it.

We’re looking for people who have experience with and are passionate about working with people, especially with children, to teach swim lessons, lifeguard during programs including open swim hours, swim lessons and other programs, and work at the front desk greeting and working with customers.
We provide comprehensive, initial and ongoing training and skills practice for all staff in lifeguarding, safety and customer service, as well as how to teach swim lessons to keep your safety and human skills fresh.  All training outside of American Red Cross classes is paid.  The job requires you to take and pass the American Red Cross Lifeguard Training within four months of hire, and complete an initial round of new teacher trainings, as well as other on-boarding and shadowing.
Even if you are not looking for a job at this time, you can still take an American Red Cross Lifeguard Training class!  TAC offers Lifeguarding classes throughout the year at a discounted rate to employees and Mills students. Our next ARC Lifeguard Training course is April 18 — April 30, Mon/Wed 5:30–8:30p.m. & Saturdays, April 23 & 30, 9:00a.m.–4:00p.m. (Mandatory Pre-Test Wednesday, April 13, 5:30–8:30p.m.) To register for a class, check out all the information online and come by the pool during open hours to register.  You will be ready to work in the Fall!
