CPM computers stolen

Six computers were stolen from the Chemistry Physics Mathematics and Computer Science building late Oct. 11 or early Oct. 12.

Professor John Brabson discovered the theft in the computer lab in room 109 and reported it to Public Safety at 6:20 a.m. on Oct. 12, according to the incident report. Interim Director of Public Safety Dan Brown said that there were signs of forced entry. Public Safety contacted the Oakland Police Department, according to Brown.

This is the latest in building break-ins and thefts; the education complex also suffered several break-ins and thefts over the summer.

“We’re putting alarms on the computer labs in CPM to prevent further thefts,” Brown said.
