Just before 6 p.m. today, a car accident occurred near the main security gate on campus. According to Tina Holyoake, a Public Safety officer who was on scene at the time of the accident, the sun obstructed the driver’s vision, causing the driver to hit a pole.
“She seems okay,” Holyoake said. “She’s a little shaken up, of course. [She] has a few cuts on her chin and her airbag went off.”
The accident blocked traffic for those entering and exiting campus at the main entrance.
