With final paper deadlines looming, countless Mills students are flocking to the Writing Center for help. For those who’ve never been, here’s the basic information:
The Writing Center is located at Reinhardt Hall, Rooms 251 and 252 in Wing B across from Founders Commons. Yup, you’ll have to climb that hill.
Main Location Hours:
Mon-Thur from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Library Hours: Monday and Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. Walk-ins only.
Phone number: 510-430-3147
Where to sign up for an appointment?
You can make your appointment online and get additional information at http://www.mills.edu/student_services/writing_center/.
You are limited to one 45-minute session per day, two per week.
Tips we’ve learned:
• It’s been advised that if you have a long paper, you should email the document before your appointment so your peer tutor can review it earlier.
• If you don’t have an appointment, you can still drop in and meet with a tutor as long as no one is signed up for that time.
