Major renovations for the Mills College Music Building were completed in December, and the building is now open again to the community after 18 months.

The building has been a vital part of 20th Century music history. From the concerts it has held to its role in Mills' music department curriculum and programs, the Music Building is internationally known and its renovation provides new opportunities for music students at Mills.

Alcatraz Sunrise Ceremony

On Thanksgiving Day, around 4:45 a.m., the first group of people take an early morning ferry to the island of Alcatraz for the Sunrise Ceremony. They gather around a campfire in a large circle, offering chairs for elders. The purpose of the ceremony is to remember Indigenous ancestors, reaffirm a commitment to protecting the environment, honor the struggles of Indigenous people alive and passed, and gather all people together in harmony.

Show offers gender bending comedy

Psychology team launches lab study on memory

A Mills College psychology professor and three psychology majors are conducting a study to look at the effects of aging on memory.

Their Student News ad reads: "The Mills Cognition Lab (MCL) is currently conducting a study on aging and cognition and would like to recruit young and older adults to participate in our study.

Civil liberties eroding but apathy and fear abound

While I cannot deny there weren't some people intending to do some property damage among the many who protested, I think that, as reported by CNN, firing chemical agents at a noisy but peaceful crowd is crossing the line from overprotective to downright totalitarian behavior.
