Plaintiffs in a suit against the University of California Regents believe that if an earthquake were to hit, it would be likely that the University of California Berkeley stadium would be displaced and slide down its hill. Last week, the Panoramic Hill Association, the City of Berkeley and the California Oak Foundation opposed the Regents plan to attach a sports center to the stadium's west wall.
The resident dance company on campus this semester is AXIS, the Oakland-based ensemble known in the United States for its repertory of works exploring the performance of dancers who, in relation to movement, are compromised.
