Dear readers,
This Thursday, Feb. 27, The Campanil staff is headed to the annual Associated Collegiate Press Conference (ACP) in San Diego for four days of “Sand, Sun and Serious Journalism,” as this year’s motto states. But rest assured, this staff’s main focus will be on serious journalism — especially since this week’s weather forecast shows rain across the board!
Full of workshops, seminars, critiques and awards shows, this conference is as much for our readers as it is for our staff. We want to learn more about reporting and brush up our journalism chops so we can produce the best content possible to keep you in the loop with all the Mills-related news and entertainment.
Since we will be gone until Sunday, March 2, our next print issue won’t be out until about two weeks after on Tuesday, March 11, but don’t worry — we’ll keep in touch.
We will update you constantly throughout this weekend about our experiences, whether to share a photo of the Catamaran Resort Hotel‘s beachfront or let you in on our individual thoughts about the conference as a whole. So check back for our personalized staff blog posts, Facebook updates and tweets to get the lowdown from all of us at The Campanil.
You can ‘Like’ us on Facebook for updates. Follow us on Twitter @thecampanil for our live-tweets on panels and keynote speakers, and join the conversation using the official ACP hashtag #acpsd.
Or, check out all ACP-related posts on our designated ACP web page. You can also easily click to see the page “ACP 2014” on the upper-right hand corner of the website header.
We’ll be sure to learn a lot and have a good time (rain or shine!), and we hope you’ll enjoy our ACP coverage too!
Sincerely,
Tessa Love
