Mills is in its 150th year, and the sesquicentennial campaign is moving forward, with a focus on the activities calendar and Mills programming..
The Office of Institutional Advancement is heading the campaign, and has been planning for the Mills sesquicentennial over the last few years. This year, the concentration of the campaign is on celebrating this historic year.
The Office of Institutional Advancement expects to build an online virtual quilt on the Mills Web site. The quilt will be comprised of thumbnail pictures of historic Mills events and audio recordings of alumnae.
Committed professors, such as history professor Bert Gordon, have provided additional assistance in the planning process. Gordon said he will teach History 180: The History of Mills College next fall, after he returns from his sabbatical.
