Farewell from our current editor-in-chief

My pursuit of higher education has been circuitous and often arduous. Upon reaching this final moment before ending my time here at Mills College, I am offered an opportunity to reflect on my journey in full.

What most surprised me was the quality of the connections I made with students and faculty. I was able to get to know some of you in class or from living on campus, while others, just in passing. I am very grateful that our paths crossed.

My involvement with The Campanil has been the heart of my Mills experience. I would like to thank the hardworking newspaper staff for their tireless efforts and dedication to serving the Mills community, even when it meant sacrificing sleep and foregoing recognition.

I have full confidence that our newspaper will continue its tradition of excellence under the leadership of my successor, Jennifer Courtney, and her managing editor Anna Belle Peterson.

I would also like to extend my gratitude to our advisor, Sarah Pollock, the editors who came before me, and Kathleen Donovan, my managing editor this past year. And, finally, thank you to the Mills community. It has been a privilege to serve you as editor-in-chief. I am forever enriched by this experience.
