Cyclones of the Week
The rowers of the Varsity 8 crew are this week’s Cyclones of the Week. The crew — Brittony Girton, Jen Arbios, Vanessa Marlin, Katie Jo Donnell, Zoe Tollefson, Shannon Van Meir, Rachel Gardner, Karuna Kline and coxswain Marie Pence — won their race against Chapman University this past weekend in Newport Beach. Despite being a young crew, with four sophomores and one freshwoman, they raced strongly and solidly, posting a time of 7:33.0, the fastest Varsity 8 time in the last five years.
