Cyclone of the Week October 1st

Junior cross country runner Melody Ferris has earned recognition
as October’s first Cyclone of the Week for her strong
performance at the Willamette University Invitational in Salem,
Oregon last Saturday. Ferris led the way for the Cyclones with a
season’s best performance of 23:50, a one minute and ten second
improvement over her previous race and only seconds slower than her
lifetime best for the 3.1-mile race. As captain of the team, she
enthusiastically leads her teammates on and off the athletic field.
Ferris is a music major from Seattle, WA.
