Cyclone of the Week – Melody Ferris, Cross-country

Sophomore cross-country runner Melody Ferris has turned in
several outstanding performances this season, including a great run
at the Mills Invitational on Oct. 10. Melody’s time of 23:53
minutes over the hilly Mills course was a 3 1/2 minute improvement
over last year’s performance. Also, at the Pacific Union Pioneer
Invitational on Sept. 26, Melody shaved nearly five minutes off of
her time on the same 5km course in 2002. Melody’s dedication and
hard work during the off-season have certainly paid off. Melody is
a music major from Seattle, WA.
