Junior Jordan Trew, a 2-year Mills Cross Country runner, completed the grueling Redwood Park Trail Run on February 19, 2006. The course, which covers over 3,070 feet of elevation change, was Trew's first 30K (18.6 mile) run. Trew, who is preparing for her first marathon in late April on Mount Tam, completed the Redwood Trail in just under four hours.
Mills Cross Country Coach Sharon Chiong said, "this was her lifetime longest run and she did a great job!"
Trew ran with graduate student Jasmine Nakagawa, senior Emily Warde, sophomore Adina Lepp, junior Laraine Downer and junior Melody Ferris, who each completed the 10K event.
