At the 25th annual Athletic Awards Banquet, the APER staff recognized Mills student-athletes and the athletic community. 40 athletes were honored for their high GPAs and received awards for their leadership, community service, and athletic excellence. The soccer team was lauded for their efforts in eliminating harassment from collegiate sports by intensifying the severity of NCAA harassment punishment rules. Tennis and volleyball player sophomore Loke Davis received 7 awards, including the prestigious Golden M and Cyclone awards. Bridget Mansell, six-year Mills athletic trainer, received an emotional goodbye. Colleague Neil Virtue said, “It’s great that you’re going out there to grab your dream,” as Mansell leaves Mills for UCD Physician’s Assistant School.
